DeepRoute.com was written by and is operated by Michael Wallace, creator of the SimulatedSports.com (also known as DerbyFever.com) horse racing game. Online continuously since 1998, the SimulatedSports.com horse racing game is still considered the deepest simulation of its kind and, with over 1,500 races run on multiple days weekly and 10,000 active stables, it is also the largest. DeepRoute.com is the project Mike has patiently worked on consistently since April 2006 (and off-and-on before that for several years). This may seem extreme, but a similar approach was used for the horse racing game (which was written years prior to release, but took nearly a year to turn into an online game). We believe our success stems in part from our patient, detailed approach to offering a quality product from its inception.

On a related note, it is important to realize that a strong infrastructure is crucial when creating a game that is played daily by thousands of people. Our experience with managing large amounts of data began with our actuarial experience in the insurance industry (for two of the largest insurance companies in the world : AEGON and Conseco). Mathematical Knowledge
Finally, it is worth noting that not all games are written with statistical accuracy in mind. Many games are written by programmers, with little detail paid to the results a game produces. When accuracy is analyzed by programmers, it is often times done at the aggregate (overall) level, while play-by-play details are largely ignored. With over 20 years of creating simulation games, our ability to create games is unquestioned. That being said, you can also rest assured the results of our games are rooted firmly in mathematical probability. Ask other simulation games how many licensed actuaries they have on staff, or at least how many staff members they have with secondary degrees in mathematics. Odds are likely the answer is zero. Not only do we have a licensed actuary (ASA; 1990) with over 15 years of experience in the field, we have a total of 2 degreed mathematicians (BA and MA respectively) on staff. Our educational experience combined with our work experience allows us the ability to accurately analyze and tweak our product in a realistic manner to offer our end users the most realistic simulation experience available.
